"The art of recording music requires a blend of technical, musical, and creative talent for which no amount of whiz-bang equipment can substitute."...Eric Ronick, founder and lead engineer of thin man studios

Newly re-opened in DUMBO in bigger, better facilities

About thin man studios

thin man studios is a full-service, Pro-Tools-based recording studio that has been recording a wide variety of musical genres for over three years. Originally located off Union Square in Manhattan, thin man studios has recently moved to a larger and more acoustically advanced location at 10 Jay Street in the heart of DUMBO, in Brooklyn.

Our new facility was carefully designed and constructed by professional studio designers with the most sophisticated acoustic techniques and materials available. This attention to detail has resulted in an extraordinarily natural-sounding recording environment, excellent isolation, and precision monitoring. Inside the new studio you will find a great deal of new and vintage professional audio equipment, most of which was upgraded at the time of the move.

All of these amenities are situated in a sleek and comfortable studio environment with breathtaking waterfront views of Manhattan.

Of course, our facilities and equipment won't make your project sound its best without a talented, creative, and skilled engineer who is well-versed in both musical and techninal areas. Our engineers, led by Eric Ronick, are both musicians and technicians who have extensive training and experience in music production and recording. When you choose thin man studios, you can rest assured that your project will sound better than you ever imagined it could. Give us a call to schedule a personalized tour of our facilities.
